Jennifer Betts of Magnar Metals shares her passion for the metals industry with our crew. What started as a discussion learning all about the ins and outs of the scrap metal business turned into a discussion on life lessons, career and family choices and inspiration to get the crew to live their dreams! Jennifer found out about the business at a career fair in college thinking that the interview with her eventual employer DJJ would serve as a great practice interview and it led to the beginning of a successful career! We unfortunately had some technical difficulties, we will have to do another round in person with Jennifer in the dumpster!​​

Jennifer Betts, now metal enthusiast, graduated from Indiana University as a major in finance. After stumbling upon the metals recycling industry at a job fair, the rest is history! Now, as a voice of metal recyclers everywhere, Jennifer has taken matters into her own hands to give the industry the recognition it deserves by sharing her experiences and stories on platforms like TikTok, hoping to excite and engage the younger generation about recycling in addition to creating a more diverse workforce within the industry.
